James Doherty, a freelance writer and editor, has published an interesting summary of IDG’s social media research. Aside from the headline finding, the study revealed quite a bit of valuable information in regards to marketing through social media. Of note:
- IDG found that 44% of consumers said that they were more likely to buy a technology product after seeing it through social media.
- Another 42% were willing to recommend a brand to friends if they were positively affected by the brand’s presence in social media.
